Red Mass: A Hopeless Noise in conversation with Roy Vucino & Patrick Baillargeon
Prior to Red Mass’ recent European Tour, the band held a listening party for their latest full-length album, A Hopeless Noise. Held at the appropriately cozy confines of Quai des Brumes on February 6, 2020, Roy Vucino spoke to Patrick Baillargeon (Pan AM 360) about the eight-year-long process of putting together A Hopeless Noise between two complete playthroughs of the entire album. An album that ambitiously gathered contributions from the likes of King Khan, Rick Froberg, Mike Watt, John Kastner, Evan Dando, Hugo Mudie, Jered Gummere, Drug Train and Mac Demarco as well as over thirty local musicians into sonic excellence. Throughout their conversation, Roy talks about influences and the story/ concept behind the record as well as some insight into each track.
