We are stoked to have local Rennaissance man Paul Jacobs in the first hour. Paul talks about discovering the drumkit in church, early tours, his move to Montreal, finding his voice and honing his pen, building worlds through art and animation, the differences between his solo work and his other band- Pottery. Paul talks a little bit about his upcoming release on Blow The Fuse Records. We dip into music from Pictures, Movies Apartments, Easy, Portrait of George, Demos, and Songs I Forgot, as well as his latest single from Sounds of Mothland Vol.1

In the second hour, we check in with Ian Devaney from NYC's Nation of Language. The band's album Introduction, Presence was one of our favorite albums of 2020. Ian lets us in on the lessons learned after the dissolution of his former band, how OMD's Electricity altered his musical path, the slow rollout of singles leading up to Introduction, Presence, how the album became their wedding present, and letting go of their album launch in light of the Covid-19 Pandemic, how Fabrizio Moretti of The Strokes became a friend, fan and replacement bass player, covering The Pixies as well as what is on the horizon in 2021.We dig into Nation of Language's stellar debut album as well as their latest single, released this week, Deliver Me From Wondering Why.
