In the second hour we talk with veteran musician from the San Francisco scene, Glenn Donaldson. Glenn discusses The Reds, Pinks & Purples (Slumberland Records, Tough Love Records) as well as his past musical endeavours, including Jewelled Antler, The Art Museums and The Skygreen Leopards. Glenn talks about growing up in Fullerton California and emerging from “The Orange Curtain”, finding music through choir and punk rock and his move to San Francisco. The challenge of finding freedom through musical pursuits, stepping into the spotlight with The Reds, Pinks & Purples, being prolific through a quarantine, finding the right words, sticking with his city through gentrification and collaborating with Jeremy Earle (Woods) for Painted Shrines (WOODSIST RECORDS). We dip into tracks from The Art Museums, The Skygreen Leopards, The Telephone Numbers, Woods, Painted Shrines and of course The Reds, Pinks & Purples.
