It was a real thrill and honour to chat with Bob Hay of Squalls to talk about his music and the reissue of his band's timeless 1984 release.
Bob walks us through his story of how he found his way to Athens, GA. in 1978 by way of a commune in Maine, and how a vegetarian restaurant with a connection to The B-52's and hearing The Side Effects on college Radio (WUOG), led to the formation of Squalls. We dig in to music from the S/T remaster as well as the band's Live From The 40 Watt album, recently released via Strolling Bones Records!
