After nearly two and a half years in exile from the studio at CJLO, Prince Palu and Oncle Ian make their valiant return to broadcast the first live episode since March 6, 2020. You can hear the giddiness in their voices, as these middle-aged dads are transformed into giggling school boys, elated to be back together again in the hallowed halls of the CC Building on Concordia University’s Loyola Campus. It is enough to bring a tear to a glass eye, as my mother always used to say.

With Montreal languishing in the middle of a heatwave (or is this what summer is now in this global warming dystopian present-future that we live in?) our two heroes present a two hour episode that is deeply rooted in the earthy tones of Cosmic Americana and raw rock ‘n’ roll. And they did it without making any major gaffes with the technology, although they did learn a valuable lesson about forgetting your reading glasses. The last time they were in studio Prince Palu didn’t even wear glasses and now here he is squinting at his phone trying to reset passwords for long-forgotten social media logins and trying to fill out a new playlist form ("Why did they have to make it so much more complicated?!” he was heard muttering to himself throughout the two hours, poor old man). Through it all, these two college radio veterans persevered to deliver a comeback episode for the ages.

Do them a favour and have a listen, then go tell them what you think on the Facebook or the Twitter.
