This episode is touched with a good amount of California love. First there is the tribute to Stockton, California’s favourite weirdo, Gary Young, the original drummer for Pavement, who passed away August 17 at the age of 70.

Then in the second hour we speak to Chico, California’s favourite weirdo, Jake Sprecher of The Wind-Ups. It should be noted that “weirdo” is the highest form of compliment that our heroes, Prince Palu and Oncle Ian can lay upon ones head!

Plus, as if that weren’t enough Californians, there are songs from Allah-Las, Tony Jay, Jonathan Wilson, Morgan Delt, Mapache and Thee Oh Sees sprinkled throughout. But don’t worry there are also bands from other places like Chicago and Montreal too. All in all, it is a full weekly dose of #RadioMagic!
