On the first Friday of August 2023, our heroes, Prince Palu and Oncle Ian, reconvene at the GGRMS HQ that is the muggy confines of the CJLO DJ booth.

With music from Allah-Las, Walrus, Sloan, The Wesleys, Whitney K, The Jesus and Mary Chain, DAIISTAR, Henry G, RIP POP MUTANT, Karma Glider, TUNS, Guided By Voices, Eels, and Silver Synthetic in the first hour they laid the sonic groundwork for another GGRMS Universe hero, Susil Sharma, to return for his fourth appearance on the show.

After a Keystone Cops comedy of errors trying to get Susil into the studio - as Oncle Ian went down to get Susil, Susil arrived unaccompanied, and for the next 7 or 8 minutes Prince Palu felt like he was in an episode of Scooby-Doo! If it were to be recreated by Wes Anderson, the AD building of the beautiful Loyola campus would be sliced in half to reveal all four floors with these two legends of the Montreal music scene running every which way on different floors, missing each other at every turn! Anyway, eventually everyone was back in the booth and we could dive into what was important, the Karma Glider debut EP, Future Fiction, and Mr. Sharma’s currated DJ set! On ol’ Ian’s request we sprinkled in a track off Future Fiction into each set, which included songs from The Raveonettes, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Astrobrite, Ride, Public Enemy, Sleaford Mods, and Lael Neale.
