GGRMS March 3, 2023 w/ Erik Fines

For the past few years the name Erik Fines kept popping up in conversations or flashing across social media on phones and laptops, then one night at the Little Village Records show at Quai des Brumes, Oncle Ian and Prince Palu would finally come face to face with the man himself, and a finer gentleman you will not find! Plans were quickly made to get this incredible talent onto the show, and although life got in the way a couple times it was inevitable that Erik would eventually grace the airwaves at CJLO and we are all much richer for it.

In the first hour hour Oncle Ian and Prince Palu deliver a rousing set of songs that provide a full weekly dose of #RadioMagic.

In the second hour, they are joined in studio by Erik to talk about his latest release, the beautiful Country Ghost , out now on Baby Horse Records. He also talks about his upbringing in Peterborough, ON, his move to Montréal, and the exciting happenings going on down in the South-West corner of his adopted city.

And if that wasn’t enough, Erik also treats us with a live in-studio acoustic performance of three unreleased songs, that gives plenty of evidence that he has only just begun. This is definitely an artist that we are all going to want to keep an eye on move forward. Thanks again Erik, it was an absolute pleasure.
