GGRMS November 29, 2024 w/ Jason Kent

In a fantastic double feature of a show, Prince Palu and Oncle Ian were giddy for the one-two punch of having a couple Montréal music icons on one episode!

In the first hour, in addition to music from The Wesleys, Pavement, Sloan, Mellow Casualty, Slowdrive, Pete International Airport, Rats on Rafts, The Men and Hole, we are joined by Jorge Donoso III and Alexiane Montpetit of MOND about the event happening Dec 6 at Théâtre Fairmount. Get tickets here.

In the second hour singer-songwriter, Jason Kent, joined the lads in studio to talk about growing up in Hudson, QC, his deep history within the Montréal music scene, his latest solo album, Jukebox Boy, and his overall views on life, the universe and everything. Jukebox Boy is his fourth album under his own name, to go with four albums released under the Sunfields moniker, for a total of eight since 2008. Add two Spoon River albums, two Tavis E. Triance & The Natural Way, a couple Elephant Stone albums (plus an almost uncountable number of sessions for other album), touring the globe with Elephant Stone, Kandle, The Dears, and more, and it is clear that music is not merely a job, but a way of life for Mr. Kent.
